Solar Panel Installation Ankleshwar 2026, Homes and Shops
Solar panel installation in Ankleshwar from ₹22,000 after subsidy. DGVCL net metering, PM Surya Ghar paperwork and GIDC dust cleaning handled by one team.
On this page
A rooftop solar system for an Ankleshwar home costs about ₹50,000 per kWp before subsidy, and a typical 3.3 kWp system comes to about ₹87,000 after the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy. That size covers a monthly bill of around ₹3,000 to ₹3,300. We handle the DGVCL net metering file and the subsidy paperwork from our shop in Bharuch, about 15 km away across the Narmada.
Who we install for in Ankleshwar
Most of our Ankleshwar work is for families in independent houses and bungalows. Some are in the older parts of town, some in the newer societies along the main roads, and some in villages out towards Valia and Panoli. The second group is shopkeepers. A shop with a steady daytime load, a few fans, lights, a fridge or a cold counter, is a good fit for solar because the panels produce exactly when the shop is open.
Ankleshwar is also a factory town. Units in Ankleshwar GIDC, Panoli GIDC and Dahej have their own set of questions around shed roofs, HT connections and load matching. We cover those in our post on factory solar in Ankleshwar, Panoli and Dahej GIDC. This page is for homes and shops.
What it costs, by monthly bill
These numbers come from the same model as our savings calculator. They use our quote-level average of ₹50,000 per kWp, 550 W panels and 4.2 units per kWp per day, which is the yearly average for the Bharuch and Ankleshwar area.
| Monthly bill | Array kWp | Panels (550 W) | Cost | Subsidy | You pay | Saved per month (year 1) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹1,000 | 1.1 | 2 | ₹55,000 | ₹33,000 | ₹22,000 | ₹1,035 |
| ₹2,000 | 2.2 | 4 | ₹1,10,000 | ₹63,600 | ₹46,400 | ₹2,070 |
| ₹3,000 | 3.3 | 6 | ₹1,65,000 | ₹78,000 | ₹87,000 | ₹3,105 |
| ₹4,000 | 4.4 | 8 | ₹2,20,000 | ₹78,000 | ₹1,42,000 | ₹4,140 |
| ₹5,000 | 4.95 | 9 | ₹2,47,500 | ₹78,000 | ₹1,69,500 | ₹5,017 |
| ₹8,000 | 8.25 | 15 | ₹4,12,500 | ₹78,000 | ₹3,34,500 | ₹8,121 |
The model assumes each solar unit saves ₹8, which is close to what a home pays on the higher DGVCL slabs once fuel charge and duty are added. A home with low consumption sits on cheaper slabs, so each unit saved is worth less and the payback takes longer. For typical Ankleshwar homes, 3 to 5 years is a fair range to expect. The site visit settles the real number for your house. For a fuller breakdown of brands and structure costs, read our solar panel price guide for Bharuch, which applies to Ankleshwar as well.
Shops pay full price, but the maths still works
Shops, offices and other commercial connections do not get the PM Surya Ghar subsidy. That scheme is for residential homes only. A shop with a ₹10,000 monthly bill would need about 9.9 kWp, which costs about ₹4.95 lakh. In our model that pays back in roughly 3.8 years at ₹8 per unit. Shops can usually claim accelerated depreciation on the system. Ask your CA for the rate that applies to your business before you count it in.
Subsidy and DGVCL paperwork
Ankleshwar is on DGVCL, the same distribution company that serves Bharuch, Surat and the rest of South Gujarat. So the process is identical to what our Bharuch customers go through.
- Registration on the PM Surya Ghar portal with your DGVCL consumer number.
- Rooftop solar application and DGVCL technical feasibility approval.
- Installation by a registered vendor, using ALMM-listed domestic panels.
- Plant details submitted and net meter applied for.
- DGVCL inspection, net meter fitted, commissioning certificate generated.
- Bank details and cancelled cheque submitted, then the subsidy is credited.
We file all of this for you. We take zero advance and you pay after approval. The central subsidy is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third, up to ₹78,000. Plan around the central ₹78,000. We confirm any extra state benefit when we file. Our step-by-step PM Surya Ghar subsidy guide has the document list and timelines.
Net metering, explained in plain Gujarati
Net metering is the part people find most confusing. A bi-directional meter records what you take from the grid and what you send back. Solar units first run your home or shop. Anything left over goes to the grid. DGVCL bills you only for the net amount you imported. If you export more than you use over the billing period, the extra is credited at about ₹2.25 per unit under current GERC rules, which can change.
Two things catch people out. Your sanctioned load limits how big a system you can connect, so a house with a small sanctioned load may need a load enhancement from DGVCL first. We check this at the site visit. And an on-grid system switches off during a power cut. That is a safety rule so no power flows into lines that linemen are repairing. If you want backup, you need a hybrid system with a battery. Our DGVCL net metering guide covers the meter, the bill and the credit in more detail.
Yusuf Memon runs a shop in Ankleshwar. Other installers Yusuf spoke to could not explain net metering. We explained it in Gujarati. The system has now run for three years with zero issues.
GIDC dust is the local problem
The biggest difference between a rooftop in Ankleshwar and one in a quieter town is dust. Ankleshwar sits next to one of the largest chemical estates in Gujarat. Fine industrial dust and soot settle on panels and cut output, sometimes without the owner noticing for weeks.
Near the estate, cleaning every two weeks in the dry season is reasonable. In cleaner parts of the district, once a month is usually enough. The monsoon washes panels for free from June to September, though cloudy weeks in July and August lower output anyway. March to May is peak generation, which is also when dust builds fastest, so that is when regular cleaning pays the most.
A few rules protect the panels.
- Clean early in the morning, before the glass heats up.
- Use soft water and a soft brush or mop.
- Do not use detergent or a pressure washer.
- Avoid hard borewell water, which leaves white scale on the glass.
We also look at the structure. Chemical fumes and humidity together are hard on plain mild steel, so we pay attention to galvanising and fasteners on Ankleshwar jobs. Our cleaning and maintenance guide explains what to watch for over the year.
Service visits from 15 km away
Our shop is at Mehfuz Complex in Bharuch, about 15 km from Ankleshwar by the Narmada bridges. That is close enough for our own team to cover Ankleshwar as part of its normal work. We do not use subcontractors. The same people who install your system come back for service.
Every residential system comes with 5 years of free maintenance, with quarterly checks. You get a monthly generation report on WhatsApp, so a drop in output from dust or a fault shows up in the numbers early. The structure carries a 34-year written warranty. If our installation causes a roof leak, we refund 100%.
Rakesh Patel in Zadeshwar put it simply. “Installed in one day. They send generation reports on WhatsApp every month.” Ankleshwar customers get the same routine.
Why an Ankleshwar family would pick a Bharuch shop
We have been in business since 2003. We have installed more than 500 rooftops, and 402 of them are plotted on the install map on our home page. We stock UTL, Waaree and Adani panels, Havells cables and inverters and batteries from the main brands. So we can quote more than one option without sending you elsewhere. You can read more about us and see our residential solar service for what the offer includes.

Questions people ask
How much does rooftop solar cost in Ankleshwar in 2026?
Our quote-level average is ₹50,000 per kWp before subsidy. A 3.3 kWp home system costs about ₹1,65,000, and after the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy the family pays about ₹87,000. A small 1.1 kWp system comes to about ₹22,000 after subsidy. Brand, structure height and roof type move the final number, so we confirm it after a free site visit.
Is there a solar subsidy for homes in Ankleshwar?
Yes. Ankleshwar homes on DGVCL qualify for the central PM Surya Ghar subsidy of ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, up to ₹78,000. You need your own house, a valid electricity connection and ALMM-listed domestic panels. Shops and factories do not get this central subsidy.
How often should solar panels be cleaned in Ankleshwar?
Homes close to Ankleshwar GIDC collect fine chemical dust and soot faster than homes in a normal town. Cleaning every two weeks in the dry season is reasonable near the estate, compared with about once a month in cleaner areas. Use soft water and a soft brush early in the morning. Avoid detergent, pressure washers and hard borewell water.
Can a shop in Ankleshwar get net metering from DGVCL?
Shops on LT connections can generally apply for DGVCL net metering the way homes do. Solar units first run the shop, surplus goes to the grid, and the bill charges only the net import. Surplus beyond your use in the billing period is credited at about ₹2.25 per unit under current GERC rules. Your sanctioned load limits how large the system can be.
Do you install solar in villages around Ankleshwar?
Yes. Our own team works across Ankleshwar town, Ankleshwar GIDC, Panoli and Valia, along with villages across Bharuch district. The subsidy, net metering process and pricing are the same in a village as in town, as long as the house is on a DGVCL connection and has a roof that can take the panels.
